Minimalistic Dada-ism

"Minimalistic Dada-ism" for Spring/Summer 2018 Collection was mainly inspired by Dada movement and Kim interpreted to the contemporary and minimalist vision of Dada-ism. The collection was starting from questioning about the process of how to make minimalistic objects instead of wearable clothing. The project composed of Matte Vinyl and Neoprene that implies the middle point between fashion and industrial material. Based on the idea of Dada-ism, Kim mainly considered the ways of combining wearable design with consistent feminine minimalism. Kim repeatedly asked herself, “How can adopt wearable design on the artistic garment?” The result, she used different types of artificial textile; different types of matte vinyl and neoprene designed two opposite shapes; flatness and voluminous.
