Project Description
Living The Noom is a sanctuary of conscious life based on 3 main axes:
WELLNESS LIVING centers design of spaces and amenities to prevent health problems and cultivate healthier lifestyles. A healthy home must be designed following 10 main concepts: air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind and community.
SUSTAINABLE LIVING is promoted through passive and bioclimatic design and reduction of resource use.
FLEXIBLE LIVING is achieved by designing an open-plan building that can be configured with multiple options and adapt to different needs. This system is possible because all the facilities go perimeter on the outside, with free access to them, occluded with a bamboo facade and vegetation.
The project consists of 3 5-stories buildings on a 2046 square meters lot, occupying just 30% of it, preserving plenty of the existing vegetation. It also restores 2,500 square meters of the removed vegetation by implementing green roofs and facades. The project integrates bioclimatic and sustainable strategies such as rainwater harvesting, wastewater separation, wetland for greywater treatment, among others, giving the project 85% of energy savings.
